Sahabat Siaga Bencana TOA Indonesia: SDN Pasauran 1 Banten

Building a culture of disaster preparedness can start at school, with children encouraged to learn, share, and take an active role in promoting safety. Through Ayo Siaga Bencana Bareng TOA! initiative, TOA Indonesia and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Indonesia introduced Sahabat Siaga Bencana at SDN Pasauran 1, Banten.

Sahabat Siaga Bencana are selected students who serve as advocates for disaster preparedness within their school community. Radit Triya Tri Gunawan and Medina Nurferinda were selected as Disaster Preparedness Ambassadors at SDN Pasauran 1, Banten.

Through the program, they learn about disaster mitigation, Early Warning Systems, and proper evacuation procedures. Beyond gaining knowledge themselves, they are also encouraged to share what they have learned with their peers and help raise awareness about the importance of safety and preparedness during emergencies.

The presence of Sahabat Siaga Bencana is part of an effort to foster a culture of disaster preparedness from an early age. By learning and sharing knowledge, students can develop a better understanding of how to respond appropriately during emergencies while contributing to a safer and more prepared school environment.
